Diagnosis: Foot injury after a motorcycle accident

The patient had a motorbike accident approximately 3 months ago (end February 2018). He was admitted in May 2018 to the Emergency Room having an external fixator and fasciotomy incisions on his left calf - these being performed in a different hospital.

On Admittance

Aspect Of The Wound Few Days After Admittance

On Admittance

Chronology of Treatment

Day 1 — Start of Treatment
  • external fixator was removed;
  • debridement of the necrotic tissue was performed;
  • the incisions were sewn;
  • Mirragen was applied;
  • the patient received antibiotics.

The patient is supposed to return for check-up in 1 - 2 weeks. A new patch will be applied.

Day 3 — Day 4 (Check Out)

Mirragen has been applied once per day;

Day 14 — Discharge From Hospital
  • Mirragen has been applied once every 3 days;
  • On day 14, the patient has been released from the hospital;
